“At Last Planned Parenthood Losing Its Grip on Our Nation”

[COMMENTS BY DONNA GARNER: Planned Parenthood (PP) has been responsible for the “killing” of multi-thousands of babies through the years.

However, that is not the only harm Planned Parenthood has done.

During the school day through school-based healthcare centers (SBHC), Planned Parenthood has managed to indoctrinate America’s youth into utilizing dangerous sexual practices leading to STD’s.

PP has also been responsible for “selling” school children on the idea of the LGBTQ lifestyle and also of receiving “gender-affirming care.”

Because PP received literally multi-millions of dollars during the Obama and Biden years, we as taxpayers have basically been paying PP to spread its evil.

Not any more: Because of Trump’s One, Big, Beautiful Act (OBBA) and the hard work of many national and state elected officials, Planned Parenthood has lost voluminous amounts of taxpayer dollars and is being forced to shutter many of its PP facilities around the country.]

School-based health clinics [SBHC] were set in place on 3.23.10 by Obama as a part of his Affordable Care Act ($200 million in funds).

Biden carried right on with Obama’s plan to indoctrinate school students into the LGBTQ lifestyle during the school day and at taxpayers’ expense.

Biden spent $450 million with an extra $1 billion to pay the school-based-health clinics professionals.

Examples:

Meany Middle School and Nova High School, Seattle Public Schools:

The schools’ goal in providing gender-affirming care is “to promote health in transgender, non-binary and gender diverse communities through ensuring equal access to gender-affirming medications and procedures.”

Meany Middle School offered students: “referrals for gender-affirming surgeries (e.g. vaginoplasty, chest reconstruction, etc.) and procedures (e.g. speech therapy, electrolysis); and assistance obtaining mental health letters of support for gender-affirming procedures and referrals for internal or external behavioral health counseling as needed.”

The Nova Wellness Center (high school) gave students “a no-cost, comprehensive, trauma-informed, and gender affirming care conveniently at the school.”

A pro-life group is celebrating a "tremendous victory" after Planned Parenthood announced the shuttering of two of its facilities in Houston, Texas, including the 78,000-square-foot clinic -- largest abortion facility in the Western Hemisphere.

…This comes amid several closures of Planned Parenthood facilities in various states, including New York, where the organization is selling its only Manhattan health center building for $39 million.

Facilities in GOP-led states with abortion restrictions, including Texas, have also been forced to cease procedures following the 2022 Supreme Court decision that overturned Roe V. Wade and sent decisions regarding abortion back to the states.

A provision in a GOP-backed bill [OBBA] would end Medicaid payments for one year to abortion providers that received more than $800,000 from the program in 2023.

Shawn Carney [CEO and Founder of 40 Days for Life, resident of Houston] said 40 Days for Life has prayed and held vigils outside the Houston mega-facility since 2006.

"Countless people have gone out, offered alternatives. We've had pro-life buses outside to do free ultrasounds. There have been so many lives saved, but to be honest, it just seemed like they were Goliath and it didn't matter if we were David," he said, adding that the "behemoth" facility even provided late-term abortions at one point…"

On July 4, 2025 President Donald Trump signed the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBA), which put a one-year freeze on Medicaid and Medicare reimbursements for Planned Parenthood.

As of Friday, July 25, the growing number of Planned Parenthood facility closures has reached at least 25, which span across 10 states.

The most recent announcement came yesterday, July 24, with Planned Parenthood Mar Monte indicating its plan to shut down five facilities in northern California.

…Planned Parenthood affiliates are also shutting down four facilities in Iowa, four in Michigan, four in Minnesota, two in Ohio, two in Utah, one in Vermont, one in New York, one in Indiana, and one in Texas.

Planned Parenthood Federation of America stated on July 1 that the defunding provision could force the abortion network to shut down nearly 200 clinics, which is 60% of Planned Parenthood’s facilities.

Marjorie Dannenfelser, the president of Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, said:

“Planned Parenthood’s focus is on abortions, gender transitions, and political spending — all while raking in hundreds of millions from taxpayers,” Dannenfelser said.

…Under long-standing federal law, Medicaid and Medicare reimbursements were not available for most abortions.

But before the new law [OBBA] went into effect, Planned Parenthood was able to obtain reimbursements from those programs for non-abortive services.

According to Planned Parenthood’s annual report for July 2023 through June 2024, about 40% of the abortion network’s total revenue came from taxpayer money, a large portion of which was obtained through Medicaid and Medicare reimbursements.

Over that year, Planned Parenthood was given nearly $800 million in public funds.

…Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas had operated in the state for 90 years.

The Tyler facility previously provided contraception and “birth control education;” pregnancy tests and consulting; screenings for sexually transmitted infections; “gender-affirming care”; and the abortifacient “morning-after pill” often referred to as “emergency contraception,” according to local reports…

The timing follows the passage of federal legislation targeting Medicaid funding for Planned Parenthood.

…This closure comes after years of persistent campaigning by pro-life advocates. Shawn Carney, CEO of 40 Days for Life, celebrated the closure on social media, writing, “So proud of my hometown of Tyler, TX closing their Planned Parenthood after years of @40daysforlife campaigns! Well done T-town!!!”

State Rep. Daniel Alders, a Republican, shared, “God is good.”
